Future of Wealdstone Football Club at Grosvenor Vale secured as partnership signed with the Hujjat Community

Hujjat Harefield (KSIMC of London) and Wealdstone Football Club are pleased to announce that a landmark community partnership agreement was formally signed on Thursday 1 March at Widewater Place. This milestone secures the Club’s long-term future at Grosvenor Vale and strengthens its position in the football league, delivering the stability required for league compliance.

Following the signing, Wealdstone Football Club and Hujjat Harefield hosted the Mayor of Hillingdon Cllr Philip Corthorne and Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing & Growth Cllr Steve Tuckwell at Grosvenor Vale to celebrate the agreement.

Under the arrangement, the Hujjat Harefield community will play a crucial role in supporting the Club’s long-term lease and ensuring the ground remains a thriving, sustainable home for football. The agreement marks a transformative moment for Wealdstone FC, whose leadership has long sought a resilient operating model that safeguards both the heritage of Grosvenor Vale and its future ambitions on and off the pitch.

Central to this partnership is the Hujjat community’s longstanding culture of service, charitable giving and civic participation. Their consistent support for local causes—from food-bank collaborations to initiatives supplying essentials to those experiencing homelessness—demonstrates a firm commitment to uplifting the wider community. Hujjat’s ethos of openness, inter-faith collaboration and investment in local neighbourhoods aligns directly with the Club’s own values and its ambition to be a force for good in Harefield and surrounding areas.

The agreement will see both organisations work closely to expand the role of Grosvenor Vale as an active community asset. Plans include jointly developed youth programmes, support for families, volunteering routes and new partnerships with schools, charities and local groups.

Murtaza Gulamhusein, President of KSIMC of London (Hujjat), said: “This partnership is about more than football. It is about building a welcoming, supportive and integrated space for everyone in Harefield and beyond. Football unites people across backgrounds, and our collaboration with Wealdstone FC shows what can be achieved when communities come together with a shared vision of service and openness.”

Vice-Chairman of Wealdstone FC Dominic Whyley added: “We are absolutely delighted to have signed this historic agreement with the Hujjat community. Securing a long-term future at Grosvenor Vale is a vital step for Wealdstone FC, and we are incredibly grateful for the commitment, generosity and community spirit that Hujjat have shown throughout this process. This partnership sets a powerful foundation for the Club’s future and strengthens our role as a community institution.”

Cllr Steve Tuckwell, Hillingdon’s Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing and Growth said: “It’s wonderful to see two local institutions working together to secure the future of Wealdstone Football club at Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip Manor. We’re enormously proud of our local sports clubs, and this partnership will not only further enhance grassroots football for generations to come but enable the club to continue to thrive off the pitch as well, serving as a community hub providing valuable support programmes and activities for children and families in our borough. We wish them all the success for the future.”
